Thomas Oberhofer, apple grower from Latsch/

, about the Golden Delicious
The Golden Delicious is our principal variety in South Tyrol and, so to speak, the flagship of South Tyrolean fruit growing. Picked between early September and mid-October, this all-rounder among apple varieties produces good quality, especially in higher growing locations where it also develops its typical red cheeks. Because of its balanced sugar-acid ratio, this apple is also very popular with children.
